Hamworthy Hedgehog Rescue are registered with the Charities Commission, Registered Charity Number 1186680.
Based at our home in Poole, Dorset, we help sick, injured and orphaned wild hedgehogs back to full health with the aim of eventually releasing them back to the wild, or appropriate protected sites.
Our rescue is run primarily on the goodwill of donors, and is open every day of the year.
The hedgehogs that are in our care come to us because they are poorly, injured, underweight or orphaned. We helped 700 hedgehogs in 2020, and cared for over 150 hedgehogs over the winter months.
