Hamworthy Hedgehog Rescue

Odin

Odin, the hog that came in yesterday with the infected wounds on his back, has done well over night.

He has eaten all his food, which is good, and is drinking. He has out on 23g since yesterday.

He has had his wounds washed and treated this morning, and has had analgesic and antibiotic injections. The wound does not smell half as bad as it did yesterday.

He is on a heated mat to help him keep his temperature up, and we are keeping a close eye on him. He is due to go back to the Vets on Wednesday for a check up.

It’s early days yet, but the signs are good so far.
