Buddy

Another new entry today, a male hog, now named Buddy, weighing in at 717g, he was found because he was dug out by a dog. The dogs owner did the right thing, collected him up and brought him to us to be checked over – thank you Hayley.

He’s had a lucky escape, with with just some slight scrapes and bruising. He has a cough, so I will be checking a poo sample to see if he has lungworm, if he does, we will treat him for that and keep him in for a week or so while he’s being treated, then release him.

Lizzie update

Update on Lizzie – vet has confirmed she has had some sort of blow to the head, and is suffering with concussion. Her eye has fully closed now, but we have to wait to see how it develops, hopefully the swelling will go down in a day or two and her eye will be non the worse for wear.
