Three very poorly hogs

Three very poorly hogs in one after the other this evening;

One with bite wounds which are infected, including one through the right eye, head wound, dehydrated, emaciated and covered in ticks. Currently in one of the ICU/recovery units, in critical condition.

One bleeding from the back end and very lethargic.

One barely responsive, very very cold, found laying on its back. Covered in fly strike. Currently in one of the ICU/recovery units, in critical condition.

Another orphan hoglet

Another entry just now, 1 male hoglet, 186g found out alone frantically looking around (probably for mum) but no other hogs seen around.
Luckily he is only slightly dehydrated, but very hungry. Here he is eating some first age kitten biscuits from a tea bag dish, so you can see how tiny he is.

Snuggle pouches

Little Trooper Robbie loving his new fleece snugglepouch (made by Karen, one of our daughter-in-laws) and tiny Sweetpea getting ready for sleep inside hers.

Pouches are a great way to make hedgehogs feel secure and with some hogs such as blind or highly stressed ones, fleece pockets can have a real calming effect on them.
