Parker

Well it’s been another busy day with hogs coming in and others going out for release.

This little guy we have named “Parker” was picked up at midnight by a young lad, when he noticed it was covered in blood. It was in the road outside his home so we guessed it may have been hit by a car.

After a check up with our vet to make sure there were no broken bones, it turns out the blood was from his throat area. He has puncture wounds which appear to be bite marks. He has either been fighting with another hedgehog (probably over the ladies!) or had a slight tussle with a fox.

Luckily, there is no major damage to his throat so he will have pain relief and antibiotics for a few days before being released back to the wild.
