2019 Facts & Figures

This years figures to date;

606 hedgehogs entered our rescue
259 were released to Wild
76 are fostered out
168 are being overwintered with us
103 were euthanised or died of their injuries/illness – this includes those hogs that were dead on arrival, as I record those too, so it looks higher than it actually was.

This means our success rate for 2019 is 83%, which I think isn’t that bad.

We saw a 24% increase in hedgehog numbers over last year, and have found it hard to deal with such high numbers, both in resources, funding and in time (understatement!).

We have some big things planned for 2020, starting almost right away, so watch this space for updates.
