Two hedgehogs put to sleep

Sadly, we’ve had to have two hedgehogs put to sleep, one yesterday and one today.

The one yesterday had horrific head injuries, so upon arrival it was taken straight up to the vets for euthanasia.

The one today had a horrible smell of infection, a very infected wound on it’s head and an obviously broken back leg. This hog was also taken straight to the vets, where it was discovered both back legs were broken and badly infected. There was no option but to put this hog to sleep as well.

Thank you to Upton Vet Practice for dealing with both hogs without delay.
