Hamworthy Hedgehog Rescue

A busy week

We’ve had a very busy week, as you can tell by the sample of entries I have posted today.

The software I keep all the records and rescue info on crashed, and despite working on it for several days, could not get it to work.

Luckily I have been able to subscribe to an on-line service, and they were able to import my data backup to the new system for us, so we did not lose anything (other than me pulling my hair out!), and we are back up and running on that front.

Some figures for the week;

19 hedgehogs brought in for care
8 hogs came back from foster carers
2 hogs were dead on arrival (or very shortly afterwards)
2 hogs had to be euthanised due to their injuries
14 hogs were released back to the wild.

We continue to operate as usual, covid-19 has made no difference to us, we’re always stuck indoors seeing to hogs anyway…

I would like to say a very special thanks to Sally, without whose help this last week or so we would not have been able to cope – I would have bought you an Easter egg, but haven’t been able to get out!

Thanks to all our donors, well wishers and supporters, without whose help we would not be able to operate.

Tracy & Jim
