Strimmer injury

This adult female hog was brought to us last night after the finder noticed she was bleeding. On examination, we found that most of the skin had gone from the front of her face, luckily just missing her left eye.

We cleaned the wound and treated it with a germicidal ointment to keep infection out and aid healing. She will remain with us until the skin grows back, at which time she will be released back to where she was found.
