This little hoglet, weighing 58g, came to us yesterday evening after its mother was accidentally killed when their nest was dug out by a mini digger. The finders checked the area thoroughly for any other hoglets, but only this one was found.
Its eyes and ears are still closed, and we estimate it to be 7 – 10 days old. This hoglet will need hand feeding via syringe every two hours until it is weaned. It appears to be a healthy hoglet, so we are hoping it will grow into a healthy adult.
