Compound Fracture

Another sad case, 449g male hog came in after being seen dragging a back leg.

On examination it was found that the right hind leg was missing (old wound, totally healed) and the left hind leg had a compound fracture (bones sticking out through the skin) which was badly infected.

There was no option other than to have the hog euthanised by our vets.

Rest easy little fella.
