Dawnie came to us a couple of weeks go after getting caught up in some garden netting. After being cut out of it by the homeowner, she was bought to us. Several strands had become entangled around one of her front legs, causing open wounds to her foot and the armpit area, from the chaffing during her struggle to free herself. After we removed the rest of the embedded netting, she had her wounds cleaned and pain relief given and a course of antibiotics.
She then began the healing process.
A couple of days ago she was well enough to go home. The residents have now removed all netting and other hazards and she was returned to the hog house in their garden.
